At the end of yesterday I came home craving rest. My tiredness translated into being annoyed by and disinterested in those around me–my insides wanted to blurt “leave me alone!” Fortunately for everyone involved, I was able to refrain.
Instead, I sought out my roommate, we popped a 1997 Bernadette Peters version of “Into the Woods” into the old VCR, and I colored. With mind in a meditative state, eyes shifting from screen to paper, ears tuned into the mythical soundtrack, and hand gripping a Pilot ink pen, the picture below ensued. Apparently I needed a reminder about patience.
How do you recharge?
